Dara McAnulty, a 15 year old autistic nature campaigner, joins Dr Jo Birch from the Department of Landscape Architecture to discuss the importance of nature for mental wellbeing. Together they will explore youth environmental activism, personal stories of nature and mental health and how people in cities can draw upon nature for their own wellbeing. Dara has appeared on BBC Radio 4 and Springwatch Unsprung. He is an iWill ambassador and has received awards for his work campaigning for nature and young people’s access to nature. His debut book, Diary of a Young Naturalist will be published in 2020.
